What to prepare before a presentation or training? Here is a checklist for your presentation or performance

Equipment to take:
 Do I have adapters? (e.g. cables to connect a computer to the monitor)
 Do I have chargers, power supplies?
 Do I have a charged computer?
 Do I have the necessary equipment packed: computer, mouse, speakers, projector (if it is not in the room)
 Do I have an extension cord?
 Do I have a desktop cleared of personal files?
 Do I have a neutral wallpaper set?

Materials:
 Do I have a flipchart and cards?
 Do I have whiteboard erasers?
 Do I have a clicker (remote control for changing slides from a distance)?
 Do I have presentation slides printed?
 Do I have a survey for participants?
 Do I have materials to give away to participants?
 Do I have other help, e.g. sticky notes, cue cards?

The presentation
 Do I have a presentation saved on the cloud or on email?
 Do I have a presentation on a pendrive?
 Is the presentation visible and legible from the audience’s level?

Room
 Do I have everything I need in the room?
 Is there a sound system?
 Did I check if the projector, microphone and speakers are working?
 Are there enough chairs?
 Is the room ventilated?
 Are the cables securely stowed on the floor?
 Is the room at the right temperature?

Presenter/Trainer
 Do I have water / coffee / food with me?
 Do I have a comfortable outfit suitable for the occasion?
 Do I have an outfit for change?
 Did I make sure to get enough sleep?
